Mr. Jefferson is very knowledgeable with the protection of people and property. He has been with the Baltimore City Police Department for twenty years. In 1989 Mr. Jefferson started out as a patrolman and completed his service as a Homicide Detective in 2009. Mr. Jefferson has worked in various Units/Divisions while with the Police Department, i.e., narcotics, prostitution, bank and commercial robberies, child abuse, sex offenses, rapes and executive protection for Kurt Schmoke during his second term as former mayor of Baltimore City .


Mr. Jefferson has also had the privilege of assisting the U.S. Secret Service in providing security for President Bill Clinton and Pope John Paul II along with other dignitaries when visiting Baltimore City.

Prior to joining the Baltimore City Police Department, Mr. Jefferson enlisted in the Army Reserves where he served six (6) years active and two (2) years inactive as a communication specialist. In 2009, while assigned to the Homicide Section, Mr. Jefferson was featured on “Forensic You Decide” which is a documentary that follows detectives during homicide investigations. This program was aired on the nationally known, Investigate Discovery Channel.

Darius Thompson

Mr. Thompson has years of experience in managing businesses. As one of the founders of Platinum Security he brings with him years of experience at a young age managing his father’s J & L Groceries, where he opened and closed, stock shelves, bought supplies. This business was leased to “I Can We Can,” a non profit organization that provided services to the homeless and substance abuse program. He worked with his father in leasing their building and gained a lot of knowledge in the process.



Mr. Thompson using his knowledge of business entrepreneurship developed and founded Guys like Us in 2003 – 2009. The company provided maintenance services to: Harry and Jeanette Weinberg YMCA at stadium place (2004-2007), Catonsville Flea Market (2004-2008), Patapsco Bingo Hall (2007-2008), U.S. Post Office, Koons Ford Dealership, Criswell Audi and Acura dealership (2004-2008) Guys like Us offered: Wet and Dry Carpet Cleaning; Specialist in natural fiber carpets; Window Cleaning; High Dusting; Pressure Washing; Spring Cleaning/Pre-occupancy cleaning; Builders clean/post construction cleanup; Daily/weekly/monthly cleaning; Maintenance/cleaning communal areas; Floor stripping, sealing and polishing maintenance; Carpet or fabric scotch guarding and Marble restoration or polishing.

All of these skills and abilities are brought to the new company, Platinum Security LLC
